Past Programs

Podcast incubators

In 2019, From the Margins to the Center was the first podcast incubator of its kind in Denver, Colorado. In 2020, the program will be a six-week intensive for women of color in partnership with House of Pod, Lantigua-Williams & Co., and Arts in Society… Read more here .

Artist REsidencies

In 2018, we sponsored four talented podcasters to develop audio work focusing on underheard stories and voices from the margins. Their work can be found ont the Podcasts in Color, That’s What She Did, and the Singleling Podcasts. Additionally, we offered pro bono mentorship and recording space for the Birth Control Podcast project. In exchange, residents taught and led classes about their work in the community.

K-12 Collaborations

We have taught two six-week podcasting modules at the Denver School of the Arts, put on a podcast workshop that served 90 students from Manual High School, and sponsored free community classes/content at House of Pod most Tuesday nights for the past year. We have also worked with YEBO to produce the Colorado Youth Congress Podcast, Future ATM.

Curtis Park Oral History Project

During the summer and fall of 2018, we worked with the Curtis Park Neighborhood Association,to collect oral histories from more than 10 senior neighbors in the Denver's Five Points neighborhood. The lead interviewer and neighbor for this project was Julie Rubsam. Read more about the effort here.
